It is not permissible to give prizes to the current accounts because they are secured loans to the bank and any loan that is useful is riba, which is known as custom condition. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade the gift of the Midian.
As for investment accounts of all types, they are safe and not debts to the bank (speculator or agent), the bank may offer prizes to the owners, according to the following conditions:
- The awarding of these prizes shall not guarantee the speculative capital or any part thereof, as in the case of loss, because the guarantee of speculative capital of the speculative capital is not permissible by law.
- These prizes should be from shareholders' funds because the bank (speculator or agent) does not have a donation from the funds of the investment account holders.
the investment deposit contract does not provide for these awards, and there is no objection to announcing them
